Probably the strangest cultural event I’ve encountered

Which says a lot considering I keep track of this stuff.

Feminist author Germaine Greer will be in Amsterdam next week “performing” with the British Symphony. This is part of a series at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw where she will talk about “diversity” (whatever that means considering this is Greer we are talking about) and the British Symphony will play selected pieces from  Messiaen, Takemitsu and Cage.

If the ticket didn’t cost 32 Euros I would probably go. However, I am not fond of paying such sum to basically experience rage and an uncontrollable urge to scream randomly at the stage. Because Greer talking about diversity sounds as apt as me discussing the laws of physics (probably the subject I am the least knowledgeable about).

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
