The Atlantic’s response

There’s a response to Bruce Sterling’s piece at The Atlantic which is also worth reading.

True that. And here’s the link to The Atlantic piece. However, I was sort of disappointed in that the piece didn’t touch on the misogyny aspects of Assange’s personality. Which, regardless the veracity of the rape charges, are sort of common in some circles of hacker culture. The geeks that Sterling describes (at least a significant portion of them) can be very alienated towards women and their dealings with women. That is something I have hardly seen addressed in mainstream media. How, Assange is also the byproduct of the subculture where Wikileaks raised from.
